EEC Lincolne Scott successfully completed the design and supervision of all the building engineering services for the Harrow International School, built on a green field site located in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand.

The campus offers facilities for students from Kindergarten through to high school, with facilities including a refectory, sports facilities, administrative buildings and library.

EEC Lincolne Scott was appointed to do the design of the M&E services including mechanical, electrical, sanitary and fire protection.

Services provided by EEC Lincolne Scott included the design of an air cooled central chilled water air-conditioning system, with underground pipes reticulating chilled water to each of the Air Handling Units  (AHUs) in each building.

Pre-cooled and pre-filtered fresh air was also supplied to the AHUs, to provide comfortable spaces and high levels of air quality.

Health and Safety were prime design considerations in this project. Smoke control, stair pressurisation systems and miscellaneous exhaust systems were included within the design to manage smoke in the event of fire.

An early warning fire detection system, which included a fully addressable alarm system and evacuation procedure announcements, also forms part of the overall Emergency and Fire Evacuation System to ensure safe evacuation of staff and students.

A water saving innovation is the use of reclaimed and treated waste water for the purpose of landscape irrigation.
